With all due respect, as a hospital administrator, would you hire you? When it comes to patient care I think I would be inclined to err on the side of safety.

Perhaps some work as a full time individual care giver might be available. Also consider administration. I think finding a hospital who will let you care for patients might be difficult.

Of course there is always the career change option. Maybe a pharmacy technician or work in a medical supply house. Some place where your knowledge is needed but you won't be in direct contact with patients.

Good Luck. I know a man with a juvenile conviction for drugs and 20+ years later it still causes him grief.

If you still possess your license, you could find a great job in Medical QA. Many biopharm companies require someone with a nurses degree to oversee the quality programs within their companies. Go to see a recruiter and be honest with them. While you'll probably never be able to have work with patients again, you could use your years of valuable knowledge helping people in a quality capacity. Start off with companies such as Blue Cross/Blue Shield.

If you are interested, we need a grant researcher and with Nursing as a background, you would be a great asset.
Contact our Director of Operations at wehelpthepoor@yahoo.com for more info.
If you work between 1-3 hours and get approval for a small grant of $25,000.00, you will make $250.00 and a large one of $2,000.000.00 nets you $25,000.00 at 1% of the total grant.
It is easy, but tedious work, but it can be done by anyone, you just need a computer and scanner.

I can't believe that's a felony.

Anyway, I would say get a part-time job and go back to college to find a new area of work.
