She is very pregnant but she is acting very sluggish and doesn't want to swim. My ammonia and pH levels are normal but the heater accidently came unplugged overnight. This is my second guppy birthing, the first one happened overnight so I didn't see how she acted beforehand. I put her in the breeder for sick/pregnant fish but I don't know what is going on. HELP

it sounds to me she is just getting ready to give birth I would not worry so much just watch on her and see what happens. I had guppys for 3 years never used a heater just had a filter in the tank and they where fine they lived for ever. I think guppys can live threw almost anything really very strong fish.

Why, oh, why are you breeding guppies? The world is not in short supply in that department. Maybe the little thing is in labor? Probably by the time you get an answer or 20 in here, the millions of new guppies will have emerged in their chain of roe. Eat me! they all scream. Save me from an overcrowded life in the fish tank!

She may still be a bit cold, but most likely shes about to give birth. What you are describing could easily be either one as they act that way on both occasions.

Correct the heat problem, but other than that relax. She's getting ready to have them.
