Black men call her white trash, trailer park trash and they are probably right because she is acting like a little piece of trash.
The trailer park comes from being born white and living poor in a trailer park, most of those girls end up with bad reputations and get called trash. Hence Britney is acting like and is a piece of trash.

I think it's because people have a hard time grasping the fact that she's from the south. Put the south together with her "antics" and voila - you've got an in-bred redneck. Personally I don't like her but I agree with you on the fact that people tend to stereotype way too much.

It's a stereotype about poor white people, particularly southerners. The alternate stereotype is about poor black people in the ghetto or projects. People play up to the stereotype because of Britney's behavior recently.

Comments like that are derived from anger because she is a mainstream popularity contest drama queen. Her music is out to make trends, and a lot of money. Not to raise the bar on the music art form. Its music designed to get your money. And it can be argued that most the hype about her is also simply to make more money, and get more attention on her. So comments like that aren't to be taken at face value. If people want to stereotype, thats fine. We all do it, whether we want to admit it. Stereotyping Britney Spears? Of course people are, they see her face everywhere.

Because she's such white trash and trailer parks are associated with with white trash. It is an unfair generalization, I agree. I lived in mobile homes as a kid and I think I turned out classy. No kids out of wedlock, no fat belly hanging our of my too-tight clothes, no shaved head. I do like pork rinds and Cheetos, though, so I might have a bit of white trash in me. :)
