Of course we're going to raise your taxes, allow illegal aliens to overrun our nation, and stab our troops serving in the war right through the heart. Another terrorist attack? Great, it might help us out politically speaking. I could give a damn about helping the people who elected me access the American dream; I'm just worried about getting all I can while the getting's good. Oh, and while we're at it, let's use the idea of class warfare to punish those who have figured out how to achieve and become sucessful in our capitalistic system. After all, if the people don't depend on the government for every little thing in their lives, then I'm out of a job!
