Mcafee won 2004 and 2005.
I know that for sure - plus it is easier to use and much quicker than Norton. Certainly though the best freeware application has to be:

Avg version 7.5 this year, although I know Avast Home won last year.

Hands down: McAfee, which won best security software from 2004 to 2006, and I believe they will win again in 2007.

You can download a free anti virus/trojan version and remove them
