You can train a cat not to spray.. just discipline them with a squirt bottle or give them a dousing in water when you catch him doing it. My brother had an intact male and he never sprayed because he did it once and learned his lesson. Keep him away from female cats at all times and strictly indoor and he likely wont have the urge to spray. Only bring him near females when its time to stud and restrict his area for a while after just in case.

You have to keep him outside and far far away from your house - or your will end up having to tear your house down and rebuild it due to the odor - my ex sister-in-law did this when she became widowed. She had, at times 20 0r 30 cats in her house. When she wanted to get re-married about 8 years later they had to tear her house down due to the stench. Even in the new house you could still sometimes get a faint whiff of cat pee.

Do you really want to get into all that?

It is an unfortunate problem that is unavoidable unless your kitty is neutered. It is hard not to resist easy money when studding your cat out, but with such overpopulation in cats and dogs it may be best for you and your house to have him neutered. Good luck!
