I was wondering if it was illegal to sell your myspace profile. I see them for sale on ebay and nobody seems to be doing anything about it if it is illegal. If it is illegal please show me exactly where it says that in MySpace's terms.

I was looking over the terms and couldn't find anything that said "You may not sell or transfer your account or account information." It says that you have ownership to anything you add to your profile. Isn't your account information "Your Stuff"? Most of these terms are meant to protect content that people post up on their profiles and other things such as videos that people post.

I think it is. It says in the Terms and Conditions under section "6. Proprietary Rights in Content on Myspace.com", subsection 4 that you cannot sell myspace content.

It might be illegal to sell your page, but not to sell Myspace layouts you've made. Perhaps that's the deal on Ebay.
