Just want to get an idea of whether or not I'm spending too much.

I spend somewhere between $60-80 for utilities a month. This my share of an amount split between myself and one roommate. (Relatively large 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment)

You can spend on an average about 200 - 300 dollars a month. In the very hot summer months and in the very cold and freezing winter months is when utility bills seem to rise.

Depends. I'm in CA and in the spring & fall it's as low as $40 and in the summer $100. Winter is $55ish. (This is for gas & electric.)
840 sq ft, natural gas heat/hot water, electric everything else, central ac. Gone 7 am to 6 pm during the week.
