What is it about your friends that made you want to hang around them? It just seems like people that I know choose their friends by how they dress, how they look, and their talents and etc. Why do people have to be place in a judging contest to be someones friend.
I am cool with everyone, white or black (whatever races), fat or skinny, I am cool with people. But my friend she always have something to say about the other friends I have because she feels they are beneath her and I shouldn't be hanging around them. But that's not my character to based it on how poor, or how bad a person looks. If they are a nice person and a really cool friend, than I'll be a cool friend to them.

well i think you shouldn't be hanging around that person. she is mean, disrespectful and snobby, i choose my friends by their personality, they got to be funny and sweet i don't care how they dress or look. i choose my friends very carefully only because i don't want to get hurt by people who are users. or just plain mean like that girl you are talking about.

LOOK, People who are insecure about themselves are looking for freinds that are just like what they wish to be. I used to be like that there was no way i would talk to you if you didnt dress cool.
So when i made freinds with a nerdy girl by chance because i needed her help i realized how much more your mind can open to other peoples point of view. All i ever had to talk to was people who look like me and talk just like me. I have never explored diffrent opinions or anything like that. Because i didnt have one freind who didnt mirror me.
SO yes many people do choose freinds by looks. But to those who feel good about themselves dont have insecurities and they dont feel like they loose their identity to whoever they are freinds with.

my friends r hippies so i guess that's one of the reasons why am their friend coz if they didnot look hippies (like me)i wouldnot be bothered
