the ball swings more due to the heaviness of the air, by heaviness I mean the moisture in the air. If you understand the aerodynamics of a swinging ball, if theres no air (vaccum) it won't swing. more air or heavy air it will swing more and more. thats why the ball swings more as the sun sets and moisture in the air goes up. or also u can say that a ball swings more on a cloudy day.

Giv the ball to pollock, mc grath, or any genuine swing bowler...they can swing the ball in any coditions..its jus a feeling dat u hav dat ball swings more in the night...infact bcoz of the dew, swinging n spinning would be even more difficult...however either night or day, with the help of breeze, ball can be swung more...
