If you go to party stores or look online there are boxed games you can purchase that play like a live game of clue. You may not find "clue" and the characters from "clue" but they are all murder mysteries. I would look online under murder mystery games at home. I have done several myself with settings from midevil times to a beach resort. When you purchase the game it comes with EVERYTHING. You will get the invitations (with the names of the characters) that have the instructions as to the character that you wish your friend to play, you will get a cd to listen to to kind of guide you along through the entire evening, you will get play books with more information that will be handed out when your guests arive as well as a menu that you will need to prepair for your guests. Most of them tell you to do a sit down dinner but I have found that you will spend your evening cooking while your guests have fun so I reccomend that you do it as a bufet style meal. Most of these games are for 6-8 players (the number of the guests will be on the side of the box and that many MUST play in order for the game to work). If you have more people you would like to invite you can purchase an expantion pack through the makers of the games (but keep in mind that these people will not be the murderer as they are not written into the CD script... you dont have to let your friends know this though). I have found these games run from $25-$45. Have fun I always enjoyed these things.

Sounds like a fun party, and a great idea!!! Set it up like a dinner theater, where none of the characters sre known to be really participating. Each room could be renamed from the CLUE game...Dining Hall, the dining room: Library, the living room, etc. I'm not really sure but think it's a wonderful idea! Have fun! Be creative!

Oh this is one of my favorite movies! Watch it to get some ideas for the party. You might want to preselect some friends to help but no one else know about it. Designate a victim, a weapon, a killer, and a location. Then give clues through out the party that helps your guest figure out the muder mystery.
