Because Denver sports altogether suck. The Rockies are our only hope this year, and we know what that means - time to find alternate teams to cheer for. Anyway, I think it's because Melo was out when we got AI and despite your gay love triangle theory they don't have the chemistry yet. I preferred Earl Boykins, at least he was dependable.

theres been alot of hype about it during the trade but things right now need to be settled, you cant put two all-stars togethor who are from different generations to work succesfully, i think Melo needs to be on the same page as A.I. hes older and is much better and it will take time for him to teach someone like Melo b/c he's a little slow at the same time A.I needs to try and feature Melo as most as possible b/c melo is younger and is the future for the Nuggets while A.I is just a guy brought to the Nuggets to turn their franchise around; hey if they lose this year they'll be better next year

The Enver Nuggets have been weak because there's no D. Karl hasn't been able to really control this team like he's done with his great (or good) teams of the past (Seattle, Milwaukee). Melo's a great scorer, but watching the team play, you don't get the feeling that people really like to play with him. Same thing happened with the Lakers a couple of years ago with Kobe, Caron Butler and Lamar Odom-Odom and Butler did not like playing with Kobe, and the team suffered as a result. Kobe's matured into a better team player, and once that happens with Melo (I think AI is more of a team player than he's given credit for), the Nuggets will get better. Of course, they still need to learn to play Defense.

A I and Melo is the only scorers. The bench doesnt comes off and does nothing to contribut. Overall the team's defense sucks. Melo, Iverson, and JR Smith hasnt played together that much because of injuries. Nuggets have to improve their D and the bench has to play a bigger role.

Well first of all, a love triangle requires three people. That's why it's a triangle. Three points. Second of all, The Nuggets are weak becuase they don't play good defense. (except Camby). They can score well, but so can Phoenix, or Washington or Seattle, or Dallas, or Memphis. Scoring alone won't win you a ring. Also, lot's of injuries, suspensions, and trades have wrecked havoc on the team chemistry.

Mediocre coaching, lackluster bench, long suspension of Melo and strong competition in the West.

Putting two superstars on a team always brings it down since each of them want to carry the load. They also have no depth and have been hurt by some injuries. And along with other Western Conference teams...THEY DON'T PLAY DEFENSE

Because right now they do not have a true leader. take suns everyone will say nash, spurs duncan, lakers kobe, clev lebron, wizards Arenas, ect..... the question for the nuggets is who is ur leader? a boat can never have two captains go figure.

Because aside from Nene they don't have a role player that can step up. There bench is weak too.
