A few months ago I came down on my knee and the doctor said all i had done is damaged the cartlidge in my knee.
And that it would be fine.
However its a few months down the line and i still can't run fully on it..it just dosent feel right and eventually begins to hurt.

A friend told me the doctor should have informed me to go for P.therepy on it..but its a few months down the line now.

Is this fixable? Anyone had the same problem and are better now?

thanks!

I have the same exact problem, torn maniscus. He said "all you had done is damaged the cartilage" ALL YOU DID? That's not like some freakin' cold you caught! You need to build the muscles around your knee so that if you take a fall again or ever apply pressure (like running) that the tension will be taken out by the muscles and not on the joint itself. You can go to your doctor or search online about the exercises themselves. I"ve been doing it for a while and I'm better now. My stepdad's knee was basically broken into 5 or 6 pieces when he was hit by a truck while bicycling. And now he plans on going skiing with me this month. Knee problems can be fixed. However, you cannot fix cartilage, it doesn't regrow - you're gonna be fine, you just have to build it before you start running like that.

EDIT: DO NOT!!!!!!! DO NOT GET SURGERY UNLESS you experience your knee popping and getting stuck into place or something like this.

chilly be your acl wherein case will possibly require surgical operation. i could see approximately getting an MRI however because of the fact then you would be responsive to the precise quantity of the wear and tear besides as a number of ur strategies. working example no count if this is not any longer a cruciate ligament(ACL) then it may desire to be ur MCL which might maximum possibly no longer require surgical operation yet approximately 8 weeks of PT. any knee harm will take a on a similar time as to heal(approximately 6-12 weeks) I injured my MCL approximately 2 months in the past and that i'm nonetheless having average to good soreness over the harm web site besides as some looseness in the knee. I won't be responsive to what the Dr is going to do till i pass returned on the twenty 8th. loosen up, take it hassle-free and do exactly what the checklist says. better of success

I had damaged and torn cartilage and I have had to have 3 surgeries on the same knee for it. I would get a second opinion if you are still having problems...
