I heard they are romantic, passionate & family oriented guys.
Tell me anything that describe an Italian guy.(physical attributes, characteristics, religion, etc.)
Just curious.

I am Irish and I live in Italy with my Italian wife.

Italian men....hmmm...well, romantic, sure...more than your average Joe. BUT, sometimes, their idea of 'romanticism' verges on the abusive. Which is to say, you, as a woman, are a piece of meat to be oggled over first and foremost. But, if you actually said 'Hi' to any of them they'd probably pee their panties with fear. Why? Because the average man here is a 'Mamone' (a Mummy's boy), and he'll probably end up being (unhappily) married to the girl he met when he was 14.

Italy is beautiful though. So, come to see it, but keep your eyes open for all the bulls*it you will see and hear.

That Irish user superdog knows nothing about ALL Italians, I've read other answers of him and he tells a world and a people I don't know.
I'm a northern Italian woman born in northern Italy, here most guys aren't mama boys or mammone as he said. Nor they're abusive.
As a woman I'd rather stay all alone over staying with an abusive and mummy boy man. I'm not submissive nor aggressive and dictate, I would never stay with a man who cheat on me like many of you state on Yahoo Usa and I would never stay with a man who flirts with other women while engaged or married to me.
Some Italian guys are romantic, some don't. Some are passionate, some are boring, some are hot, some are shy, etcetera.
My husband and we met each other when I was 23 and he was 24, I can describe him: a gentleman, handsome, funny, smart, kind, polite, brilliant, he always makes me feel better and laugh when I'm going through hard time, he's loyal, loves me very much. I'm the luckiest woman in the world. When I read answers like superdog's one I get offended because also my father, grandfather, relatives, friends, father-in-law are nothing like he said.
