I know its different for everyone... But i was on alesse for about 6 years straight and i just went off of it... i dont know if i was supposed to just stop ... i waited untill the end of my last pack and got my period.. then when i was supposed to start my new pack the sunday after i started my period.. i just didnt take them anymore... Now im just wondering what some of the side effects are and am I going to start bleeding (spotting) at any time headaches ... and how long does it take for your body to realize theres no more pill ( average time ) any info would help... never went off the pill before...

I took Ortho-Novum for about 15 years and had to quit because I'm past 30 and smoke. The not-knowing when my periods will be are the worst, but that aside I haven't really experienced any side effects. Good luck.
