She doesnt want me to take them because I'll be dancing with other women. I asked her if she wanted to take them with me, but she isnt in to it. Am I wrong for taking lessons without her?

No. As long as you don't sleep with the other women you should be fine. You are doing something to expand your horizons and learn something new. It is something for yourself. If she doesn't want to take the same lessons then why don't you guys find something to do together and you still take the Samba lessons? If she doesn't trust you enough to just DANCE with other women then there is something in your relationship that is not going well. Why don't you try taking a cooking for couples class together and then do your own dance class. Or suggest that she, in turn, take a dance class of her own.

My boyfriend doesn't want to take swing classes with me and I fully intend to go without him.
I figure it might cause a minor argument, but if you let the person you're with stop you doing things you enjoy, you'll end up resenting them and starting a fight about something else anyway. And hell, samba looks like fun! If you had said you wanted to start smoking pot and she said you couldn't, well...

No. If you're taking lessons, you're not "dancing with other women" you're learning steps and rhythm. Besides, many of the women are married, or otherwise not interested in you. In my dance class, couples don't dance together until after they learn the steps, so my husband and I seldom dance together.
