15 or 16 because that is when girls really start to worry about theway they look and guys and all that... im 16 and i started using it a couple months ago... i was too bussy being a kid to worry about make up and guys... but i think its time now... dont rush to ruin your skin... at age 12.. you dont need more make up than a chapstick or a light/shiney lipgloss... notthing more. dont ruin your skin yet!!!

This depends on house rules and how the girl feels about herself.
In my opinion a girl shouldn't wear more than lip gloss (except for special occasions) until she is 13.
I made the mistake of using an oily foundation to cover up a few zits every day when I was 11. My face broke out more and more each week and I looked like a clown with so much foundation on. Now I don't use it at all.
Eyeliner, mascara, and eyeshadow are okay and fun to wear. Just make sure that you don't share brushes with others because that is how eye infections are spread.
Basicly, it is best for the girl if she is taught to love herself (this may sound like a cliche, sorry) and how she really looks. Make sure that she knows that no makeup is needed to leave the house.
Basicly, if the girl has an acne condition she has a right to wear cover-up. For dates and dances as much makeup as she wants, and for regular days I say nothing but a bit of mascara and some sunscreen (in the summer)

I think 13 or 14 is a good age to start wearing makeup. Try experimenting or go to the beauty counter and have one of the girls give you a consultation.

It really depends on the girl, and her parents. I think that when a girl starts displaying interest in make up its a great opportunity to counter it with the importance of skin care. Cleansing, moisturizing daily. To look at girsl these days, by the time they hit 12 they are already wearing the stuff, but thats too young in my opinion. I think 16 is a good age to start, provided the girl understands how to care for her skin. Otherwise she will end up breaking out REALLY badly.

I think it depends on the girl. I think i'll use my daughters first interest in make up as a chance to get her in to good skincare and hopefully start her off on the right foot with a more natural approach, maybe 13-14 for a bit of gloss and eyeshadow, no foundation. That's something to do without for as long as possible. Everyone should make the most of bare youthful skin while they can, youth is the best makeup there is!

I started wearing makeup when I was 10. I'm 12 now. A lot of girls in my grade wear a he|| of a lot makeup!! But it looks trashy. So...I would say between 10-12. But not a lot of makeup just foundation, mascara, eyeliner, maybe concealer if they have pimples or dark circles.

i was 14. i wore clear lipgloss and black mascara. i think it's important to learn how to do the whole natural, enhancing look rather than the fake, trowelled-on look from the very beginning.
i'm now 16 and wear brown eyeliner, black mascara, nude eyeshadow and light brown lipstick under clear gloss. i like the understated, natural look because it enhances my features rather than making it obvious i'm wearing makeup (some people even ask if i AM wearing makeup!) i think this is the best way to go, personally.
good makeup shouldn't be seen, it should just enhance what you have naturally. when a girl is old enough to realise that and carry it out properly, she's old enough.

Glittery and shimmery stuff, light colored lip gloss...I say 10 or 12 because its just for fun. Mascara, lipstick, concealer...I say about 16. If they wear it too young they get the impression that they need it to look pretty, and in this day and age that is not what you want to do. Natural beauty is best. Make-up is okay, but as long as you know you don't HAVE to wear it to be pretty. You are who you are...make-up or not.

I started wearing make-up at 12. But I didn't really know what I was doing, I only got serious about make-up around the age of 15. But it depends on how mature the girl is and whether she is a tomboy or prissy girl.

Girls shouldn't wear makeup until their senior year in high school (about age 17- 18). Even then they should wear as little as possible. Wearing no makeup will keep her skin young looking as it is maturing and pimples won't form from clogged pores.
