Getting pregnancy question...?

Hi. I have a question about my fiance and I getting pregnant in the future. We have been going out for three years and got engaged last July. We are getting married soon and want to start a family in the next 2-3 years. We also have been having sex over the past couple of years in which I have orgasmed (to be polite about it) inside of her. She is also on birth control and we have never had any issues with her being pregnant. I was just wondering if doing this frequently while she was on birth control will prevent us from becoming pregnant in the future. Will her body be immune to my sperm or anything since we have done this or will we she be able to get pregnant once she stops using birth control? Thanks for any insight.

No, she can't become "immune" to your sperm. It doesn't work that way at all. That can't happen. :)

The only thing that may affect her is the long term birth control use. It may take a few months of being off the pill for her body to return to normal and begin ovulating regularly.

I'm not a doctor or anything, but I don't think it will. I was on the pill for 2 or 3 years and we never used condoms. I got off the pill and about... 7 months later I got pregnant... not to say it took 7 months, because we were living away from each other at the time (for school) and didn't get to "do it" that much. haha I don't think it would present a problem... different birth control pills work differently though, so she may want to ask her gyno about it next time she goes in for a check up, just to make sure.

If that was the case then woman who have had unprotected sex quite often would not have a kid and that would mean their would be alot less kids. It is not possible to become immune to male sperm, and no having unprotected sex while she is on the pill will not affect your chances of becoming pregnant in the future but keep in mind that it does increase your chances of becoming pregnant sooner than you thought..
I have known many woman who where on the pill and got pregnant while on it even when they took it everyday at the same time it is not 100% affective...Pregnancy increases even more if she misses doses or takes them at different times of the day...

LOL i got pregnant with my first son while i was on birth control :) it was a lower dose birth control and well i became pregnant, and we were also using the withdraw method! My second son i became pregnant while on the depo shot (birth control) so if your asking if you can become pregnant yes you can its possible and it happens. When you are ready to become parents, stop the birth control and it might not take long for her to become pregnant :) Goodluck and congrats

She should be perfectly able to concieve after stopping the birth control (as long as there's no medical reasons)... after she stops the birth control it may take a few months to a year before she will start ovulating again or she may concieve as soon as she stops them... but either way, she should be able to concieve one way or the other... GOOD LUCK!!!
