Why yes, they are. Sometimes, these relationships tend to have culutral conflicts. But, remember: it's those two who lov eeachother and they will do anything to be together

Interracial relationship is about two people being in love. They are OK. There are issue however that can put more strain on the union. Every inter racial relationship I have been in the parents did not agree. You just have to make them understand you have their daughter's best interest at heart.
I sit down face to face with parents and point blank ask what are their feelings and concerns. I have a strong personalty with high confront. Be a man and don't run from the situation. Parents are sometime surprised at my direct approach. After we sit and talk the parents usually feel allot better.
I was married for 17 years to a Caucasian lady with a father that was part of the KKK in the south. After about 5 years he actually accepted an invitation to Christmas dinner. We became friends after that. You can' t respond in anger. Parents are real people with real concerns for their children. If you treat them with respect they more likely will respond in kind. Sometimes it just takes time for parents to come on-line.

When people see you in the street, they think that an interracial marriage or relationship is complicated because you look slightly different from each other. That isn't it. After a bit the other person just looks like the person you love. You love that difference about them.
But there is something to consider. I have a fourty-three year interracial marriage and relationship. The biggest complication is families and cultures. For a long term thing you need to be ready to learn your mate's family's ways of doing. Manners, food, religion, language can be pretty different. Your mate needs to do the same thing. Be ready for relatives to disapprove. If you have kids, be ready to teach them two traditions. Be ready to help them figure out who they are.
The one on one stuff can be pretty easy. Scope out your mother in law.

Interracial relationships are totally fine. The only difference is that the other person is either lighter or darker than you. Big deal. We're all the same on the inside. Many blessings.

Me being in an interracial marriage I find it a little bit harder than it should be. But the love is there. doesn't matter the color of the skin.

of course, they are as successful as non-interracial relationships - it's not about race, it's about the people in it.

Well IMHO...the relationship isn't wrong. Its the creating of mixed breed children that is. If this continues to be looked upon as OK then this world will eventuially become really boring as there will eventually be no races left. Which will be a disservice to human kind.

My boyfriend is Filipino and I'm white. It's funny because he's paranoid about black men who talk to me. He thinks they'll steal me away. lol
