Why do people become this way? Is there a way to get back on track?

If want to know about me read some of my other questions. I usually a hard worker and goal oriented. Now I don't give a crap about anything. I don't feel bad about how I treat people or my education. It's not like me at all, but what can I do? I use to ahead of the class and very nice. Apathetic. A few human beings interest me. Most people are atificial. I need discipline maybe?

Well thank goodness you have a sense humor. And, why do Dr.'s always want to shove a pill down your throat if you feel out of kilter for the moment. Yes, okay depression slows down our passions and the vigor we are well known for. High achievers go through this now and then, and Bing, we're back on track.

What you need is something new to tackle. A new project, something you know that has inspired you in the past, but put off for one reason or another. Just trust me on this, I have had to reinvent myself, more than once. I had to keep opening doors until I found what I was seeking. Don't surrender to a pill, unless you do have a chemical imbalance. But, unless this is hereditary you are probably fine!

Yes, there are more artificial people in some areas of life more than others. I dumped those people in my life, and I don't care.
I have found new interests, and very interesting people. It wasn't easy, but I did. They blend well with those people I kept.

Your what is old fashioned to say, but ahead of your time. You, shouldn't be snobbish about this though, because it may offend some of the new people you need to meet.

Summing up, don't take pills to be happy. Get going on your new and exciting life!

Sound like you might be feeling a little depressed. But you really need more information to say something more accurate. Did anything happen before you started feeling that way? Search inside yourself, the only one that can figure it out is yourself.

They say a lack of interest and apathy are signs of depression. Has you eating/sleeping habits changed? Maybe you should see a professional.

What you have is a 'mental health issue' called 'clinical depression' and you need to be 'evaluated' and possibly given medication to help you 'function properly' in society. 'Apathy' such as you say you now have is one of the best and first 'symptoms' of Depression. You don't 'need discipline' but you do need HELP.

First thing is to change your user name to "Nastybitch", just so you don't give other s the wrong impression. Better yet, why not use "Nastyselfcentered-feelingsorryformyselfbitch."
