Stock is not usually sold through companies, but through brokers. Try an online discount brokerage service like TD Ameritrade (ameritrade.com), E*TRADE (etrade.com), Fidelity (fidelity.com), or ShareBuilder (sharebuilder.com) to buy shares of Wal-Mart or any other publicly traded company.
