This is my second year of college and I seem to be having a hard time keeping up with the course load. I have a gpa of 3.73 but i feel like i can't get ahead of this this semester, any suggestions?

I dont know where you go, or what you are studying, but I am in my Senior year and found that studying outside of my room and away from friends that are going to distract me are the best bet. I tried studying in my room, locking my door, putting up an away message, but the truth is, it still takes about twice as long to get things done than if you would simply go somewhere AWAY from the distractions. Also, if you go through notes you took during class that night, they will make a lot more sense to you and you should remember the material better, cutting down studying time during finals allowing you to make better use of the time. Also, ask your professors if they think there is anything you can do. You'd be amazed at what they have to say, and how simply sitting down with them every once in a while could give you a little bit of an edge in the class. I'm not saying to suck up to them, but get personable with them, if at all possible, so they can better understand your situation and that you are always busy. Also, try hitting the gym on a daily basis. Youd be surprised how scheduling other things during your day will keep you scheduled and ahead of your work so that you do have the time for those other things. College isnt ALL about grades, you have to have fun to. Good Luck!

hmmmm....

Consider yourself an intelligence gatherer. You have your syllabus, your texts, schedules, etc.

And you balance your workload each semester with hard and easy classes, right?

The first week of the semester I would lay out my anticipated work load after obtaining all of my materials. Once I started doing this, I was amazed at how much my grades improved.

Also, perform tasks between semesters as much as possible! This means thinking ahead sometimes.

No cell phone at school, either, by the way!

Join a sorority. Hint hint.
