I was with the company for over 15 months. I was arrested for a warrant that I had for a fine. I was locked up for 30 days so I was fired. the job was great and I did very well. How do I tell a future employer I was fired for being locked up in jail

why would you?
dont. unless they ask why you left. then you cant lie. say personal. that way they wont ask more. if they do a background check, they will let you know then say you were let go. good luck!

I am not sure that you should tell them. Did you get a reference from this company after they fired you? It yes and the reference is OK, don't mention it. I think it may even be better not to tell them you worked there, unless it was your only job or your resume does not impress otherwise. If you have to tell them, they will ask you why and probably will check the story with that company. You are there to sell yourself, so downplay the negatives and advertise all your strengths. Good luck.

You don't need to tell them you were fired. I used to be a recruiter and when I called past employers of the person I had interviewed for reference checks all the employer was able to tell me was the person's position and how long they worked there.

you don't.

And if your prospective boss calls your previous boss, they cannot say you quit or were fired. All they can say is your position and how long you stayed.

If you were fired, try to learn from that and not make the same mistakes again. And if they ask, well, don't lie, but kinda nice-it-up.
