No. Perhaps I have an unusual store of patience, but I expect some contention within the ranks when it comes to a problem as complicated as Iraq. I'd rather them hash it out and come to a well thought out and well argued position than to rush headlong into an action that may backfire on them and the troops. We have enough problems, I don't want Congress to add to them, I want them to help solve them. I guess I really didn't expect them to move forward in one collective quick wave. I know we've been in Iraq too long. But the majority Congress was just sworn in in January. We have had four years of complications and misfires in Iraq. To me, if we have to wait another month, or two, for Congress to come to grips on what to do I'll just have to trust that they are doing the right thing. They're the last hope to do something about this chaos, at least until a new President is sworn in.

I believe the message the voters sent was that the war in Iraq was wrong and the US should get out. The Democrats in Congress are working towards that. If anyone's forgotten the message it's Bush with his pointless "surge".

perhaps, we will send it again in '08 if we have to. But I for one am glad we finally have some accountability in the WH, to the voters, and some balance has been restored. it is a start. More of the same was not an option.

I believe they stuck their message in a bottle and threw it somewhere out on the Atlantic.

Unfortunately a lot of politicians seem to change their tune once they're elected into office. Gets to be very frustrating after a while.

They are trying to get legislation through to limit the troops mission, but Republicans are blocking it in the Senate. What is your point? They need 60 votes to get legislation passed through the Senate, but it is not the Democrats that are blocking it.

Conservative hate radio is on a roll today. That term elitist sure is getting a beating today. What message have the Democrats supposedly forgotten? You don't state and the hate mongers probably don't either as they spew their clap trap.

They forgot that and their promise to change congress in the first 100 hours. That 100 hours came and went.

Yep, they just used American deaths in Iraq to gain power. They'll keep the war going until they get the presidency too.
