Usually Burger King and Mc Donalds will hire 14 year olds.

Ya know, there is no law aboutlying on an application. Do you look 16 or even 18? An employer can just chose not to hire you based on wrong info. You cannot go to jail or anything by saying you are two or four years older, by birthdate, on your application. When I was 14, which was 13 years ago (i'm 27), I put down I was 18 and got a fake ID at a local store.

You need to fill out 2 forms when you get hired. A W-4 for (IRS tax witholding) and an I-9 (To prove you are a US Citizen or Permanent Resident allowed to work in the US). All you need to do is show your social card and the ID saying your are older and you are in. Your employer can get in trouble if anyone may find out you used a fake ID and you atre working more hours then you are supposed to. There is nothing you can get in trouble for except maybe getting fired down the line if they find out.

My advice if you want to go this route is this.

1) Get a fake ID. A lot of people have IDs that are not issued by the government to use for ID purposes because they cannot get a state license or ID for one reason or another. You should find a place to get a passport photo done. They are usually around $8. Then find a place that does IDs. I know theidshop.com sells IDs. I advise you to get one that is a state that borders your state and not a local ID. They will probably will not know then. You can tellyour employer you recently moved here. Ofcourse, you will also haveto find a real residentual out-of-state address to put on the ID or it will look fake.

2) Find your social security card. You need this with the ID to get a job.

3) Do the math for your birthdate. For example, if you were born on 07/10/1992, which right now willmake you 14, you can be born in 1988, which will make you 18. Use this for your ID ofcourse.

4) It is advised to get a job in another town where you will not run into anyone or work with anyone you may know. That helps.

So why do this? Welly ou could work as many hours as you wanted without working papers and have any job. No restrictions. I also gota bank account with my ID. Which is different from getting ajob andI donot advise unless you know what to expect.

I do this when I was 14 and worked 2 jobs with 40 hours a week combined from both. My family was not por. We were okwith money but I wanted to make my own because I got tired of asking for $20 every now and then. When I turned 18, four years later, I had $30,000 in my bank account because I had no bills except car insurance (I was driving by then) and I saved allmy money. Ofcourse, when Iturned 18, I canceled my bank account and went to another bank with my real info. But its nice to make your own money. Thats my opinion. I highly recommend going this route if you know what you are doing. If you cannot find alocalplace to make an ID, you can always goto theplace I refered you online. The only draw back is its $100. Ofcourse, if you make $8/hour and work 20 hours in one week, thats $160 before taxes so it pays for itself. One last thing, if you decide to do this be smart. Know you will have to fill out a job application and ofcourse, you will have to say you ahve no previous work history and that you have graduated high school. I wouldn;t say you graduated from a school close by. I mean, usually 99% of entry level employers will not ask for high school diploma verification. Only high paid professional jobs do. Thats my advice.

Job availability depends on the region, but generally the big employment areas for teens tend to be in the service industry. Working in fast food restaurants, retail stores, movie theaters, amusement parks or as a life guard are the bulk of most teen job opportunities. Check out the below link. I hope this helps out!!

As per law, anyone under eighteen years of age is considered a minor. Many businesses hesitate to employ minors because of the legal restrictions on working hours and documentation required. A better option is to work from home on your computer- write articles, sell on eBay,make a website, take surveys. More details are available at http://www.pcworkathome.net/jobsforminors.html

If your only 14 then you really don't need a job, but if you absolutely want one then you will have to make a job for yourself, become self-employed for now. Like, run a lawn mowing business.
