Life's only painful if you're too much of a weakling to stop and smell the flowers.

Because most aspects of adult life are amazingly challenging...for everyone. Relationships, having a home, work...all of it. Nothing comes easy.

It takes a lot of personal strength to meet these challenges successfully. Knowledge, skill, experience, support, motivation, resources, and character strength. You need to be strong, and getting stronger, in so many ways!

Of course not everyone feels this way about life or appreciates this reality...so they come up short a lot in all the areas of life, which continually challenge us. That's where the pain comes in...the frustrations, the failures, the damages, the losses, the discouragement, the guilt...

Because life is based on emotion and feelings. Getting angry, jealous, heart broken, embarrassed, sadness, etc.
Unlike feeling physical pain is what makes us alive. if we didn't feel physical pain than that would mean we are dead. Like, people say, is this real or is this just a dream. And than a person smacks them in the face so they can feel the pain of being alive.

Pain is life, we live it and learn from it.

Life can feel painful if you let it. How?
By being egocentric, in other words if you live by the creed that only you and your problems matter and have meaning.
By blaming others if they are not there for you the way you want them to.
Learn to let go, learn to be self sufficient, learn to live by yourself and be responsible for your actions. Be grateful for being here in the first place. Don't compare yourself to others and above all don't read magazines that say only Cindy Crawford is beautiful enough.

Because if everything were joyous, then you wouldn't appreciate the finer things, that is; the good things that happen to you in life. The pain and suffering remind us that we need to be thankful and appreciate the special things that happen to us. I don't believe it has anything to do with religion, it's human nature.

Before the fall in the Garden of Eden, everything was perfect. There was no pain, no death. Then man fell (Adam sinned) and pain and death were brought into the world.
