Because you are deaf?

I listen all the time. Sometimes I've had to pace myself to get a word in. Sometimes I listen more because people are talking about things for which I have no strong opinions and can evaluate each side. But when I DO have a strong opinion, I do occasionally turn a deaf ear. I think many people get strong opinions on people and ideas far to early in their evaluation process... But without opinions of any kind, well, we probably wouldn't have the technological advances we have now. We need opinions to make our choices, and in a world where we have far too few facts to make great evaulations, forming opinions is the only way we can proceed through life..

It's part of the human condition, we are naturally biased towards ourselves and naturally arrogant. Some are more than others. Some people do listen, but many don't.
