I'm thinking of doing it, my son and daughter think it wouldn't look right....I don't want to look a fool, but I do like these tiny sstuds...what do you all think...be honest.

Do what you feel is good for you, I had always wanted a tatto, I got 5 at the age of 48 and one for my 50th birthday, they are very well done and I love them. I thought my 76 year old mother was going to have a stoke and it took a while for a couple of my co-workers to recover :-) but they are where I can cover them for work and on my personal time they can be seen when I where sleeveless or tank tops. My best friend, a school teacher, got a tiny stud in her nose when she was 40 and you know what it actually took most people a few days to notice! Go for it!

It doesn't matter how old you are if you want a piercing go for it. Don't take any notice of what people think or say. You do what makes you happy.
If you are unsure as to what it will look like you can buy magnetic nose jewellery, one side goes up in your nose the pretty bit on the outside. I have one, and you would never know it is magnetic.
No pain either.

well I have 7 in my ears. Some people hated the idea of any on me but I did it anyway and i LOVE mine. If you want to do it I would suggest maybe buying a fake one, they attach with magnets and will give you an idea of how it will look if you are truly concerned with that. I wouldn't worry about what others think of it if it something you really want to do. Do it for yourself and like I said if you are concerned about how it will look get a fake first and try it for a bit. Age is not something to be conerned with in this!! As long as you are not doing all sorts of crazy things I think you are all good to do at least one out there thing!

I know a mother who has her nose pierced and all she wears in it is a light blue diamond. I dont think it looks bad on her. If she was wearing the hoop out of her nose I dont think it would look good. Just as long as you are not going crazy with it like the kids are now days I think you will be fine.

Never too old if it makes you feel jazzy! Just don't get a nugget for your nose. A tiny stud would be classy. Indian woman of all ages wear small stones in their noses.

sorry, but my personal opinion is that it looks foolish at any age... unless you are from India and it is part of your cultural heritage.
and, piercing the of one's nostril may cause a permanent hole (meaning, even if you change your mind about having it someday, the little hole may never go away). you can get stick on gems if you want to try it out for a while.
in the end, the decision is all up to you - not your kids or anyone on yahoo answers...

I am biased against nose piercing on anyone I hate them I find them a real turn off.
Anyway I often see people over the age of 40 with things teenagers wear or are doing or the way teenagers speak, it's like they are trying to look hip and cool. So if your 59 you are going to look like your trying to be young and hip. I am 42 and act my age I still like to have fun and dress with fashion but I don't dress like a skater. I know I am not my teenage childrens age.

I've seen women of 40/50/60 yrs with it done, it really depends on whether it suits you or not, in can look great, or terrible, whatever your age. But, if you don't like it you can always take it out, it's not the end of the world.
Do what you like and enjoy yourself!

first you must buy some fake nose rings etc and then u got to know weather they suits you or not....after that you can make a right deccision ..your son and daughter must get used to of the fake nose ring then maybe they are gonna say(mom why don't you have a real one)how was that ..hope you like it.

ALWAYS! It's ugly and plain gross! I actually lose appetitie if girl with pierced nose come along and I'm the type of person who would eat by a dead body without any issue.
