Both of these player's careers are going nowhere fast, so Livingston is tall and can handle the ball, big deal, there have been so many games that he's scored under 10 pts (closer to 4 actually), and Telfair is barely getting any minutes on the worst team in the league! This injury might be the nail in the coffin, plus the Clippers are still irrelevant and obviously the Celtics are and will be for a long time to come. Nice draft class '04, not! Players should have to play a minimum of 2 years of college ball, even thought it wouldn't have helped either of these two scrubs.

Good question and some pretty good answers..All i will say, if you don't have the talent of a Kevin Durant, or the size and agiltiy of a Greg Oden or LeBron James, you better test your skills in the NCAA's, there you will get a better guage on your talent rather than playing St Anthony's or St Raymonds. i understand the money is a big lure, but if you are truly nice, the money will come, later, rather than you now facing a real possibly of playing in Europe in a few years. I agree that Livingston came in with less fanfare, and has a bigger upside.

Going on their SMALL body of work, I'd say it has to be Livingston. He was a HIGH lottery pick and was actually given the reins to the Clippers this year but never played the way he should've. The fact that Telfair has already been traded and has been trade bait for most of his young career is an indication of him being a disappointmnet. Anytime Shaun Livingston's brought up however, the Clippers won't part with him because they believe he'll be an ELITE point guard one day (as do those teams that are after him). So the fact that he's playing mediocre now make him a bigger bust

Before the injury, I would have said Bassie in a heart beat, but it's tougher now. Livingston was capable of putting up big numbers, and while his scoring was not high, he averaged 5 assists to 2.5 turnovers a game in just under 30 minutes a night. Also he had a 14-assist night just last week against the Warriors. Telfair, though, is undersized, even for a PG, has a scorer's mentality, but no mid-range shot, meaning it is easy for defenders to sag on him and prevent penetration. In 20 minutes he's averaged 3 assists to 1.2 TO, and plays behind Rajon Rondo, whose even more offensively challenged, but a far superior defender and passer, even though he's just a rookie. I just don't think there is a lot of upside for Telfair. Botton line, if Livingston can return from this injury as well as he did from his last dislocation, he at least projects to be a starter. I'm not sure Telfair will even be in the league in 5 years.

Telfair is the biggest bust. He was highlighted on ESPN as a high school player and came into the NBA with much more fanfare than Livingston. I think both players still have potential but Livingston came into the NBA as a project on then one of the worst perennial teams in the NBA, Telfair was expected to be an immediate impact player and has been traded at least once and maybe twice.

Sebestian Telfair. At least Shaun Livingston hasnt been traded and starts some games. Livingston has just had injury problems but Telfair is a major bust.

Sebastian Telfair hands down. He just downright sucks. Shaun Livingston hasn't gotten a chance to be a starter yet. If they give Livingston more minutes then he would take more advantage of the opportunity presented to him unlike Telfair.

I think it's still too early to tell but as of this moment I'd have to say Telfair. Linvingston is actually trying to come into his own, it's a shame he's now out for the season. Cassell is still a great point guard but he is older and he's not really helping the Clippers. Both guards I think however needs more time to prove themselves.

It's still pretty early... but Livingston's a back up behind Sam I Am and the Clips are pretty dysfunctional this year.
Telafir is a shoot first PG THAT CAN'T SHOOT. He couldn't shoot in HS and he hasn't improved. Livingston improves (slowly) and shows flashes. Telafir shows me nothing.
If Livingston can stay healthy, he'll be a mainstay in the L. Telafir will wash out... trust me on this one
