I emigrated to another country because I can't take the new 'rule everyone' system. Banning smoking and now Prince Charles talking about banning McDonalds. I got fed up a while back and left. How long before you come and join me?

Miss the seasons? I'm chilling in the sun here with a big mac, cigarette and large beer. Life couldn't get better than this.

What a sad **** ! If that's your height of ecstasy well I pity you greatly. I suppose you didn't look at any ways you may have been able to help sustain some good and return some hope in England during all the time you were here taking of it ? So are you going to dump cigarette ends, beer cans and vomit around where you have moved to,without a thought for the community or about the corruptions behind ALL of your chosen hog like addictions?. ' that should make you feel a true grit brit eh? True to form. A Consumerism Sociopath. You sad victim !! Lung Cancer and / or Liver Cirrhosis should duly teach you a bit of humility.

I left the UK in 1971. By summer 1972 five of the remaining six in my husband's office had also left. I've spent more than half my life in Switzerland, although I have also lived in Australia, Hong Kong, India and France. Switzerland is no paradise, and we aren't all rolling money, but by and large it's preferable to the UK.
Having flown more than twice round the world, on my last visit to England I missed my flight for the first time, because of train delays.
Not much you can do about smoking bans, you'll find them everywhere.

As for McDonald's, I can think of more pleasurable ways of offending my digestive system!

However, I do speak the languages here, which means that I have, to a certain extent, integrated, but not assimilated. I know how to make rösti, but I still make a mean rhubarb crumble and the Indian stores even stock Bird's Custard powder!

I'm going back there this year and will never leave after that. I want to watch my premier league games ' live ' in the stadium at Villa Park in Birmingham - not on TV from here in Canada on a saturday morning. I want to be in a place where I can drink tea and it not be a big deal - I want to meet ' English girls ' . My parents moved me to Canada when I was a kid- they came here for the money and everything - the got what they wanted - Nothing will ever replace England - no matter how many upsized drinks and food etc etc...
I miss the English humour and the ways - I have lived here since 1980 and never cracked and become part of things totally - I've been back to England three times and this year I am going to stay -
there are always negative things about everyplace - I will never leave my country once I come back - my blood is tied to her .. England

basically so which you'll be able to renew your get entry to Clearance certificates (oftentimes noted as a visa) for 6 months as a focused visitor, the Immigration Act calls for which you go out the united kingdom and seek for re-get entry to. Technically and just about all you'll be able to desire to do is pop over to France or Eyre for one 2nd and then cutting-edge your self at Immigration for re-get entry to. as long as you could fulfill the Immigration Officer which you have the skill to help your self, which you will no longer have recourse to Public money and that your presence interior the united kingdom isn't incondusive to national protection and which you will proceed your stay as a focused visitor and in no different skill then you definately will rapidly be readmitted for a era of 6 months. you could proceed doing this indefinitely... i'm an Immigration Solicitor

I won't - I love this Country - People & Rules come and go - The PC squad will lose power soon as more and more people become disillusioned with all of the crap they spout - You can't keep a good Country down for long

I am leaving the UK in about 5 years. I will then have enough cash to live somewhere like Spain. I am sick of paying so much tax so that it can be ill-spent by the government. I am also sick of the amount of imigrants I am supporting, also the amount of lazy chavs and single mothers. I pay 40% tax and have done for quite a few years. This country will end up a squalid vile crime ridden place where nobody wants to live.

These rules are bought in to HELP us. Britain is a LOT more than just "rules" and so I'm staying forever. I'm proud of living in a modern, multicultural country full of the best oppurtunities
