Did anyone else pick up on that the Crown prince may have been in on it and faked his own death to escape his royal life, to live a normal one? Or Am I seeing more into it? Any eveidence to the contrary? He had to be in on that sword trick in order for that to work.

One:
The sword trick would have required an electro magnet in the floor, since it was the Prince's home, he would have had to have been in on it.

I do not think he faked his own death. Since they were so adamant about re-showing all the clues in the end then why wouldn't they show us clues to that part? Plus, I remember the sword trick and how he "did it" is supposed to be a leap of faith in the audience. If you read into it you could say that Norton and his roadies set up the stage on their own. There was a platform and it was not necessary a permanent stage. It could have been made by them. Or maybe it was really magic...

Great movie! No, I do NOT think the Crown Prince was in on it...I do not think he faked his "death"....Nor do I think he set himself up...he was too arogant for that...do you remember the movie making mention of his habit of abusing the women in his life? His arogance and bull-headed-ness would not allow him to be anything other than what he was...
That is the only way that the two main characters could have run off and joined each other...any other reasoning would spoil the "happily ever after" part of this movie...the fact that they were able to "get over" so many people...and pull off what they did was the cool part of this movie...
I loved it...I loved the twists and turns..and thought it was so well done...

I wouldn't say the the crowned prince was in on it. I think he actually like his life. about the sword trick the two other men would have had to be in on it also because they couldn't pick up the sword either, it was an excellent movie though. I like that you went deeper though.

I didn't pick up on that. But, now that you mention it, you have me thinking.
Ok...maybe it was a trade off, a bargin, for the prince's wife in exchange for the prince's freedom.
None the less, a really well done movie.

No, I don't think that you're looking too far in to it. The thoughts you mentioned never crossed my mind. I guess since I just enjoyed the movie (even though I didn't think it was going to be good) I don't want to read more in to it then I have gotten out of it.
