No very scary! A car is like a dangerous weapon and I think 16 is far to young to be allowed that responsibility. I also believe that when you first pass your test you should be restricted to a small (low performance) engine for the first two years. Guess I will not get best answer!!!

The answere to your question depends on the state. I know in North Dakota the age limit is 14 to get your permit and then you have to have 6 hours behind the wheel training as well as your permit for 6 months and then you can get your license. I know this is true because I got my license at 14 and my little brother got his just last summer. However Minnesota which is a 5 min. drive from my house has a restriction where you can get a farm permit at 14 but cant legally drive alone for leisure activities untill you turn 16.

It used to be legal in Montana to drive when you were 15 or 16. I guess because its so barren and not very populated. I'm not sure if you still can. But I think 16 is a good age. Younger than that I think would become a problem. Of course when I was like 14 if they changed the law to 14 or 15 i would have thought it was cool!

I dont know about the US. but in the UK you can drive a car from the age of 17. Their are more car accidents caused by 17-21 yr olds in the UK than any other age group. I dont think putting a 16 year old behind the wheel of a potentially lethal weapon is very wise & think the age should be increased to 21.

Oh not sure what you can answer for your final but in the UK if you are a disabled driver you can pass your test and take it at 16 however if not its 17. It might not be cool because any younger the people driving my not me mature or reasbonsible and may cause more accidents. A survey or experiemtn should be done by the governement to test the best results.

No it's not cool. It's way to young an age to give that kind of responsibility to someone so irresponsible. Kids in high school still need school zones because they will not even check to see if the road is clear before they cross the street. You see them on bikes and skateboard with no regard to traffic safety. They treat road safety like a video game. Only problem is there is no reset button in the real world.

Depends of where you live. If you have your blue slip & an adult in the car with a current licence you can. I belive you also have to have so many driving hours too.

I think they should give out drivers licences at the age of 18, maybe even 21. Too may teen accidents. Too worried abt looking in the mirror, their cell phones, etc.

I know you can in South Dakota at the age of 14. Some states have an age 18 limit. California tried to do that 18 thing. It didn't work.

I dont think anyone below the age of about 23 should be allowed to drive. Young kids drive like idiots as it is!

Depends upon the State. In some Southern States, you can get a permit at 14 (of course, in some of them you can also marry your cousin!)
