Sadly, only ONCE (though i don't think disco is all that bad now)! I was at a restaurant/club with my in-laws in New Jersey. They MADE us get out and "boogie". I only knew "the Hustle", so I did that for a few minutes, then stopped. I'm terrible at remembering dance steps!

Yeah, but I was just a kid (grade school/jr high) so didn't have a 'signature step'. I remember doing the hustle, bus stop, and other dances though. My sister was 6 yrs older so she went to the discos and would teach me some of the dances.

Yep! - Those of us of "a certain age" , remember when disco ruled. It is seen as so "retro" now - but at one time it was the "hottest thing going!" Times change, huh!? I remember when "Saturday Night Fever" was #1 and Studio 54 was all the rage! You could not get more "hip" than that! I still occasionally love to re-listen to some of my favorite disco tunes - it was another time and another sound! - When I'm in the mood for it - I still love it! "Boogie, Oogie, Oogie 'til ya jes can't boogie no more!" :-)

Yes...I "lived" in disco's in the late 70's...I LOVE to dance...always have...(took dance and then taught for many years)...
My signature move was done only by me...couldn't explain it..you'd have to "see" it...I entered and won, many dance contests back then....My dance partner and I had a great "lift" we did where he would put me on my back on his shoulder and I would spin down his body to the floor...kinda like slo-mo...or a snake...it was cool...then he would pull me up to a spin position...(I would be on one foot at this point) and spin me around really fast...he would then spin me out...and then back to him...and then he'd "dip" me...it was a cool thing we did and got lots of applause after the move...
Don't know if explaining it makes sense...but it was fun...
Ah...the Disco Days....
