A yeast infection takes about a week to 10 days to completely go away.....IF you take all the medication. Some women stop the medication after they start to feel better and then the infection comes right back. Take the medication and don't have sex until your infection is gone.

a yeast infection is very very common amongst woman, its deffinatley not serious and can be treated very easily using either oral tablets, creams or pessary tablets.
at the most its just very uncomfortable and itchy.
if you do have a bladder infection aswell (which again is common among woman) then more than likely that will not be serious and will be away within a week with the help or some antibiotics from your doctor.
yeastinfections are caused by many things, they are common during pregnancy especially, can be caused by scented soap or bubble bath , tights, different materials used in making pants, washing powder ect, also sex can cause them too , basicallythese things change the chemical balance in your vagina and cause a increase in yeast.
bladder infections and yeast infections can be prevented by drinking lots of fluids e.g. water, cranberry juice. and using unscented bath products/soap or none at all.

Did the doctor give you some medication? If so, follow the directions EXACTLY as written. Keep taking the medication till it is all gone.
Yeast infections are nasty little things. They burn and itch and are very uncomortable. Bladder infection is also painful.
If you take the medications, all will most likely be well. If it doesn't clear up by the time you've finished the medication, go back to the doctor. You don't want the inection to come back, as it gets even nastier if it comes back.
Don't worry. Your doc is handling things.

Your doctor probably prescribed either an Rx or OTC medication to treat your vaginal yeast infection.
If you have a bladder infection it probably isn't caused by a yeast, but rather is caused by the bacteria, E. coli.

Since you went to the doctor she should have given you a prescription. Start taking Monistat 7 or there is a pill that clears it in one day.

dont worry...it could be many things ... for example mom has had yeast infections and she is a very healthy person...it just happens to some woman... maybe you should get STD tested just to make sure is not related to that...otherwise youll get rid of it with some medicine
