The moon gravity causes tides, this is a form of energy that causes movement.
The sun gravity does it in a more indirect way if you want, the gravity keeps the Earth close to the sun, which allows it to keep getting the sun's heat energy, if that gravity didn't exist, earth would swim in space far from the sun, and wouldn't get the energy of heat, and it would become a rock of ice.

Gravity applies a force but not energy. There are two kinds of energy associated with gravity; potential energy and kinetic energy. Potential energy is energy of height and kinetic energy is energy of motion. If you hold a rock 5 feet above the ground, it has potential energy but no kinetic energy. If you drop the rock, it falls. As it falls, it accelerates, or speeds. This converts potential energy to kinetic energy. After the rock has fallen 5 feet it is going pretty fast and is almost on the ground, so it has less potential energy and more kinetic energy. After it hits the ground, all the kinetic energy is changed to heat (although not much heat for a mere 5 foot fall). Similarly, Earth has potential energy because it is 93 million miles "above" the Sun, and it has kinetic energy because it is moving 66,000 miles per hour. Since Earth's orbit is elliptical, sometimes it is a little more than 93 million miles from the Sun. When it is, it orbits a little slower. Some of the kinetic energy has been changed into potential energy. When it is closer, it orbits faster because some of the potential energy has been changed into kinetic energy. No energy is ever lost to heat or friction in the vacuum of space, so it just keeps orbiting.

They do not provide energy.
They pull on the Earth, but this pull does not do any real work. They do maintain a dynamic meta-stability and the tidal forces do cause a little bit of friction (relatively speaking) which does show up as a little bit of heat but most of our energy comes from the sun via radiation and from nuclear decay of radioactive elements in the Earth.

What makes it spin on axis , if we didnt spin we would be freezing on one side and burning up on the other(no seasons) On Dec 21 2012 we are going to complete a 26,000 year cycle which ends with all planets being alined according to some stuff i read we might have a pole shift i hope not because this would be a disater flooding would be tremendous along with volcanos and earthquakes ,hurricanes . According to Mayan calender i belive Ancients had a lot more technology than we give em credit for

It doesn't. All energy coming to the earth from space is from the sun's radiation.

Yes. Mars is warming at this time. We sent a probe to there and I think they had a bunch of SUV on the probe and the Martians are driving them around causing Martian Global Warming (as opposed to Manmade Global Warming).
