I have always had very skinny weak legs. Recently I have been squatting a lot and my legs are gaining strength. I feel more confident, in control and powerful. That made me think about how our muscles relate to our feelings and our mental states. Any validity to my theory?

You have low self-esteem regarding your body image. So, improving your body would help to raise your self-esteem.

It may be what is called pscho-symatic (not sure i spelled it right) meaning a combination of mental and physical emotion.

When you have weak legs, walking is a pain, and that brings up feeling of helplessness, since walking is as natural as breathing---imagine if you had to strain to get a full breath, except when you are exercising which lets adreneline flow through your system and heightens your feeling of well-being.
