I love the Rockets with Mutombo, Yao, T-Mac, and Battier, but there's just better teams out there, unfortunately, and they are all in the West, so they will not be able to make it to the finals. There's the Suns and the Mavs, as well as the Spurs, that all currently have better teams than the Rockets. By the way, Yao is one of my favorite players.

With Yao and T-Mac healthy, Shane and Bonzi playing their supporting roles and Alston governing the floor - I don't see a legitimate reason why they won't win the championship. The only probable reason being that they all never played together in one game this season.
Other than the pg position with the Phoenix Suns, I don't find a position where the Rockets wouldn't beat that team in. The only weapon with Dallas is Dirk. Spurs are done. Utah and Lakers are just dangling around.

i imagine they're going to. They were close getting out the first round very last year without Yao Ming. They were 2 video games away. Now theyve further Ron Artest to boost their protection. And if T-Mac, Yao, Artest, Francis and some thing of the crew stay healthful then they're going to be unstoppable the picture of the Celtics were very last year. Rockets 2008-09 Champs

No, they are a great team but they're not going to do it. It's just not their year. They may get past Utah and finally, since acquiring T-Mac and Yao, make it out of the first round but that's as far as they'll go.

Yes they can if all the planets align just right. Not only does T-Mac and Yao have to be healthy but Nash, Marion, Amare, Nowitki, Terry, Iverson, Anthony, Kobe, Boozer, Fisher, Duncan and Parker all go down during the playoff.

According to Coach L, Dirk is the only weapon in Dallas. At 47-9 you would have to give the MVP to Dirk if he's doing it by himself!!

Second round at best...they would lose to dallas, phoenix, san antonio or even denver if they were to play in the playoffs. The west is too deep this year.
