Is there a gaming system that is better than x box? and why?

I am doing a college project on Microsoft and it's competitors. I want to know how do people feel about the x box.. Is it better than other gaming systems, or worst? How are the game graphics, do you have any problems with the system or the games? What are the pos. and neg? How old are you in regard to what are the age ranges that play x box. If you play with another gaming system please brief me on that as well.

Cool question, however, I think you may be going about it the wrong way. Each system has it pros and cons. If a person has to or wants to limit themselves to one console then they should pick one that best suits their needs. A trendy gamer might go for the PS2 for it popularity and great selection of games. A family -oriented gamer might choose a Gamecube for games that appeal to all ages. A tech gamer might want an Xbox for it highly regarded online play. Every system offers games and features that particular console unique. In some ways Xbox is a great system for it excellent graphics, online play, built harddrive for saving games to the system, and custom soundtracks. However, some the reason that make that system great are under-used liked the custom soundtracks. I have been pleased with Xbox and its games because they offered a great and different experience. I could also say the same for PS2 and GC. There is no one perfect system and only fanboys will say otherwise. It really comes down to what system suits you.

Here are some reasons why I like Xbox.
1. Cool games that are exclusive or enhanced ports of games of other systems.
2. Built in harddrive cuts down on having to buy memory units.
3. Custom soundtracks that play in-game.
4. Great graphics(really it all about gameplay).

Reasons why I dislike Xbox.
1. Some games can only be saved to the Xbox meaning if I want to take my saved information then I have to take the whole system.
2. Custom soundtrack feature saw little use.
3. I cannot get exclusive content from online because I do not have the internet requirements.

I am 30 and I play games that range from everyone to mature. I care most about great gameplay, then graphics, and then anything else that enhances the experience. I play all systems except Neo-Geo, Turbo Graphix 16, and Sega Saturn because I do not have them. I have a PS3 and Xbox360(no Wii yet). I would have included the next-gen system but they are pretty much on equal footing. For what it is woth, I think that next-gen war will be decided on personal loyaly to the system, exclusive games, and online play. They will all look amazing and have great games. The question is what will they with the games. How will they make them better.

Check this out: Xbox is a great system though its rival and fierce competitor PS2 is much better(remember this is my opinion) why cz PS2 has games for all ages and themes, not only do they have good shooters but they have good RPGs and action adventure games and the online is free which Xbox isnt, the Xbox has nice graphics but alot of people who are into serious gaming dont take graphics as such a big thing its the quality of the gameplay on that system and thats where PS2 is way better, if you are talking abt the 360 it is gonna do some good and bring Microsoft some good moolah cuz its doing good but Microsoft shouldnt be too happy cuz PS3 is right around the corner to kick its ***

Well i've had my xbox *well xbox 360 actually* since last July and im completely hooked...i used to play my NINTENDO gamecube all the time but now im hooked on my xbox. in my opinion Microsoft is the Dominent Company when it comes to gaming. The graphics for an xbox 360 dominate a nintendo wii, the wii's games are more clay/cartoony and almost all the xbox 360 games are Realisticly created..a few examples would be like gears of war WWE Smackdown Vs Raw 2007 and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion * My all time favorite game*. So when it comes down to it The Xbox and Xbox 360 are the Icons of Gaming
