is anyone naive enough to think that bush is not seriously considering an attack on iran ?Sooner rather than later?

He went to Iraq, not to denounce Sadaam, but to get a strategic foothold in the region. He has already set up military bases in Iraq which is betwixt Syria on the left and Iran on the right. All this was planned well before 911. The powers that be realize the oil reserves will not be around forever. Therefore if Bush can set up puppet politicians in Syria and Iran, he can further his agenda. Have we forgotten what they did to Noreiga? Read literature on the neo-conservative agenda and you will see this is nothing new.

There was something on TV the other night that said that the US had planted ammunition and weapons to make it look like Iran has sold them to Iraqis to use against them. This was another reason as to why an attack would be inevitable. I don't see why this is a problem or an act of war myself considering the USA helped supply the IRA with weapons to shoot the British soldiers. An invasion of Iran will happen, I'm sure of this. I am hoping that Bliar does not follow suit and listens to his country before acting.

Bush's hands are tied by the situation in Iraq. Plus Iran is holding all the cards now. Because there is no legitimate military threat, we are forced to deal with them diplomatically, which Iran excels at. Iran is the master of the Appease & Delay tactic, giving the West just enough cause to think they are willing to work with them before they go do whatever they want anyway.
The good news is, a vast majority of the Iranian population is young (under 25) and really like the West and the US. The bad news is, all the older people (Radical Islamists) there are in power.

sure they can take iran but this time it will be more costly than ever. The Iranians have Nukes and will not crumble without a fight. Iran is the last muslim stronghold that stands in the way of american imperialism - the porno industry and all the whores and pimps and gays that will follow it. The jews want to attack iran too because all of the other muslim countries have fallen. Iran has threatened to attack american interests all over the world and I cannot say that I blame them. I mean would anyone just give in a roll over to the yanks. All of the other muslim countries have fallen - been bombed out or bought out - Iran has learned from this. Bush wants to see a american world before he steps out of office and would like to invent any pretext to invade iran. Of course the develop nukes - they live in striking distance of the jews in israel who get 10 Billion us dollars a year for their army and the jews have over a hundred nukes. They are only trying to defend themselves - if the yanks have nukes then the iranians should have them too and so should the north koreans - it makes the yanks think twice before they go and crush another country - it makes them think of the consequences of crushing that nation

He will find that he's in another Vietnam, just like Iraq. They are getting ready to withdraw (ie run away) from Iraq and will get slaughtered if they put ground troops into Iran.
These are not ignorant peasants in Iran. They are highly-motivated, suicidal and will not stop coming at them. The US will end up causing the deaths of 500,000 or so people and will - yet again - be forced to flee. Just like Vietnam (and Iraq).

judging Bush by his history, In wouldn't put it past him to do anything as fooking stupid as to invade Iran. Doing this will surely spark WWIII since Iran is in bed with Russia and China, and they know this!
Cordova: Which war has the USA won in the last 50 years? Grenada and Panama don't count since they were overnight battles.
Korea: No
Vietnam: No
Gulf War 1: Wasn't finished, nor was goal obtained = NO
Somalia: No
Gulf War 3: Clearly not going our way either.

The Republicans seem to be the only ones cheering that this will happen!
Evidently they lack the education or intelligence to realize that it will only lead to the destruction of the United States - if not the whole world by the time the radiation poisoning gets everyone - its just a matter of time!
And remember! The Dinosaurs did not all die out in one day!

Andrew -- whose side are you on -- are you playing the good cop or the bad cop. seriously Iran --is asking for a rebuke and whether or not it will get it via diplomacy or ...other means...no one knows exactly -- right now. we will know when it does happen. hope it helps.
