I come from there.
It is awesome! You would probably want to visit in the summer time. People are very good looking, and very nice. City is beautiful. A lot of parks, sculptures, squares, theaters...
Nightlife is great. Food is great (for my taste).
I would suggest to go with someone who speaks Russian. It would be even better if they were from Minsk themselves.

The other review is great - especially since they live there. I've never been, but want to very much.
From what i can gatherthe people are great, but the Government is not real democratic.

ITS Russian culture and belorussians are russian,this country want to be a part of Russia(i meen people of this country),but Minsk have dictator-Lukashenko wich want to rule there with out Russia.....its part of Russia,but with border with Russia....
