The way I used to revise was to write down summaries of the relevant information. I found that the information then went from hand to long term memory. Just reading the info does not seem to work the same way for me.
Don't know if this will work for you but good luck.

Put the parahraph in bullet points. Then using the first letter of the bullet points try and make a word such as if you were doing points e.g Nummern, Beschreibungen, Zimmers then first letters are N,B and Z so think of a word to remember like Never do Better than Zack. etc hope this helps

If your problem is memorizing then try this----draw pictures of the words or phrases you need to memorize. Pictures that relate to what you are talking about, for example:
"I have to go to Costco and get catsup." Now picture yourself walking with a big bottle of catsup on your head. On the bottle there is a "C". The "C" reminds you of Costco, the bottle is the catsup.

Drawing or thinking in pictures is the easiest way for anyone to remember things. Give it a try. :-)

Mnemonics.

INTRODUCTION

Mnemonics (pronounced "ne-mon'-ics") is the art of assisting the memory by using a system of artificial aids - rhymes, rules, phrases, diagrams, acronyms and other devices - all to help in the recall of names, dates, facts and figures.

Basic mnemonics

These mnemonics can be applied immediately, although it certainly pays off to practice them first. All of these mnemonics are based on elaboration and association, which why we start out with these. Elaboration adds more meaning to a word, while association makes sure that two words are thoroughly linked together in memory.

get a nice big box of assorted chocolates and for every chocolate devise a question. Then shuffle the questions and one by one randomly select the question(like you would the chocolates) and for every one you guess correct reward yourself with a chocolate. to make it more fun get someone to help you remember. like a girlfriend/boyfriend. get them to ask you questions and for every one you get right they remove an item of clothing. if you get it wrong they put clothes back on. it will make you want to remember and you can have a really fun time revising!!!!! good luck
