go to your local electronics store and buy a hot spot sensor. Then just drive around and find one.

You don't need any special software. If you already have wireless capability in your laptop (or whereever) then you should be able to just open up the Wireless connection manager and search for available networks.

You can also pick up a little scanning device at several places (Wal-Mart, Radio Shack, etc.) that tells you if a wireless signal is available at your current location.

Or, you can search the web for locations such as the following and others.

you just need to have a wireless adpater, on the laptop/pc since that will pick up any signals, or if it didnt come with software, windows has built in software to scan for wireless conncetions, this can be done via the network connections in the control pannel.

You do not need any special software. Wireless networks have a standard frequency that does not change across the US and other countries.

Just do it like you normally do.

you just need a stable wi-fi point and if your laptop is new it has wireless built in to the hard drive so all you need is a point and to search for it and you will find all the points around you if it is not locked you can get on but if it is to bad
