Ebay would be a defaul place, but if you do not have a paypal account set up, getting funds could be a gamble. I would first purchase a guide that at least tells you what the value of the various cards you may own. If some are worth $100 or more, I would even look into getting the card graded by an expert before selling to maybe increase the value. Local card shops may buy the card, but it would be for less than market value becuase they want to sell it, and make a profit.

You would get the most money for your card from someone who is interested in the card (a collector). The magazine which may list the card prices may also have advertisements for people looking to buy, or groups of fans/discussion groups that may have other potential purchasers.

You can also have a garage sale just be sure to get a tuff stuff or beckett and get the right prices. or look in the local paper for a bigger event and buy a table at the event. some small town has local card shows. you can also join some of the groups and try to sell then that away but some of the groups have got weird lately.

A more local answer would to be to look around for local sports card and TCG stores, they would probably buy at least the good cards for a pretty good price. Another option would be to look around at local malls. A lot of times, they will sponsor card shows which would be a perfect opportunity to buy and sell baseball cards.
