A scatter diagram presents information clearly to the reader, also giving the reader lots of information.
A box plot gives the reader lots of information, maybe even more than a scatter graph, but isn't very clear to read as you have to keep following lines to other boxes to other boxes etc!
Cumulative frequency graph yet again provides the information yet if you were quickly trying to find information is a bit more complicated.
If presenting the info, then I'd choose scatter diagram as you can use loadsa tools to make the presntation bright and colourful yet you get the main point- info- across.

A scatter diagram lets you see if there are any distinguishable characteristics in the data (linear, quadratic, parabolic , etc...)

The box plot lets you see the interquartile range, where the mean is, and the max and min values of the data.

The cdf is useful for approximating to some common known distribution for approximating means, variances, etc...
