My lap top turns off if it is moved. What could be doing this. Is there a loose connection somewhere. If I keep it stationary on a table it works fine, but the second I move it, it shuts off.

The DC power jack usually causes a short that makes the system either not charge or turn off unexpectedly.

The problem could be with the connection between the battery and the laptop itself. I have had this problem before with an older model laptop. to find the problem its self plug the laptop into the wall outlet with the cord and take the battery out of the laptop. then attempt to move it with the laptop hooked up to the power outlet. if it doesn't go off then it is for sure the connection with the battery. If it still goes off then there is a problem with the internal power supply.

Most likly the battery is loosing it's connection. When setting on a table it's holding the battery to the prom's when you pick it up the battery drops a small amount and doesn't touch prom's and shut's it off. Only thing I can think of. Try pushing the battery up and turning it on hold it. If it comes on that's what it is. Hope this helps you.

If its pluged in with a power cord it could be the power cord or the power connection of the laptop

But if it is on a battey, the battery may not be seating weill into the battery slot
