In Kyoto or Nagasaki?

In Nagasaki, its going on right now- Nagasaki Lantern Festival. Chinese lanterns lit up at night in the China town area of Nagasaki. Its very beautiful.

In Kyoto, the Gozan summer fire festival. They light parts of the mountains surrounding Kyoto, on fire in the shape of Dai- which means large- in Kanji. Anyway, its pretty cool and gets wild.

Here's one

The Prince Takamatsu Cup Nishinippon Round-Kyūshū Ekiden, the world's longest relay race, begins in Nagasaki each November.

Kunchi, the most famous festival in Nagasaki, is held from 7-9 October.

I would also say they would have a rememberance day on the 9th of August every year for the bomb dropped on them in 1945.
