I always have liked Ray Allen alot, he's 1 of the most underrated players in the NBA cause he's always been a quiet leader and not gotten as much respect as deserved, just like my #1 hero and favorite player of all time in history of NBA who I bet noone else would pick cause he had a quiet but great career is............ 6'3" 190 lb SG outta McNeese St University #4 Jooooooooe Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuumars

and my fav player in NBA today is Chauncey Billups, and he said once that he wore #4 in high school, ncaa and nba before goin to the pistons cause he grew up idolizing dumars, but as piston he can't wear #4 of course cause it's retired, just like shaq wore #32 on every team idolizing magic, but on lakers had to wear #34 for same reason

This is tough. I'm a Lakers fan as well as a fan of the Big Men of the game. I'm torn between Magic Johnson, Hakeem Olajuwon and Shaquille O'Neal. Magic who along with Larry Bird probably brought the NBA from the verge of extinction and in my opinion is the greatest point guard of all time. Hakeem never played hoops until either late in High School or maybe even until he stepped on a college campus and he was the man. Psi Slamma Jamma. But since you want one player I'll default to Shaq. He has been dominant for a long time. He has taken every team he has played for to the NBA Finals. He has 3 Finals MVP's and he played on one of my favorite teams. Shaq Daddy the Big Difference Maker.

Easy. Being a 12 year old in 1977 I lived on a dairy farm in NW Missouri. After milking and other chores I shot baskets on a 8' rim as I daydreamed I was several of the NBA stars of that time.

But the majority of the time I was Dr J !!!. I'd sail through the air and slam a dunk or lay it up ever so effortlessly just like he.

Imagination and physical exercise have been largely replaced by awesomely, realistic video games and organized bball leagues beginning with kids too small to dribble. But I'll always remember imagining I was Dr J skying through the air with my huge fro and scoring to the delight and amazement of the cattle, mice, and cats in a farm building.

Julius Erving earns my vote.

Well, I'd like to say a player like Jordan or Magic. But I never got the privilage to watch them cause I'm only 16.

So I will go with Kobe Bryant as my all-time favorite.
