Is it just me- or has anyone else had this problem?? I have bought 5 or 6 new tubes of mascara in the past 4-6 weeks. They seem to have barely any mascara in them!?! You need 3-4 coats to even look like you put on any at all?? It used to be that you would have to scrape the sides to get some of it off, now you have to struggle to get any on the brush. What's up with that? What brand do you recommend- I have tried many, but given up on all my old stand-bys. I am tired of paying 5or10 dollars for something that doesn't work!!!

First things first...never dip the mascara wand too much...this lets too much oxygen into the mascara tube and causes it to clump inside. I found that Lancome "Le Extension" works great as well as Dior's "Dior Show"...when it comes to mascara, pay the extra money because its well worth it. Go to a department store and buy your mascara there, if you don't like it just return it...:)

What it might be is that you are buying mascera from a grocery store, or a bad company. I would reccomend Clinuqu'e's new mascera with two sides of the brush, (a comb side, and a lengthening side.) Discovery Lash is also a very good brand of thickening mascera. I usally have to wipe some of the mascera off the brush of both masceras just to put a little bit on! If you end up buying these two masceras, I would reccomend putting the Clinuqu'e mascera on, (using both sides) and then using the thinckening Lash Discovery mascera on top. It looks super good, and really make your eyes stand out. Your lashes won't just be long, but full and thick too!

I use the revlon and Maybelline mascara intense volume. You are supposed to replace often because it dries out and bacteria starts to grow. The Mary kay is also good.

By the Sephora-brand mascara from Sephora. Their tubes aren't that big, but it goes on pretty well. I'm allergic to it, but I'm allergic to everything and at least the Sephora mascara looks good on.

i dont know the name of it (its a brand name tho) but i use the bright green/pink one...it lasts a while. maybe the way you put it on makes it seem like you dont get much....try starting at the very base of your lashes and dont just brush straight up...wiggle the wand from side to side while moving up. it makes em look much better and separates all the lashes too.

Try Mary Kay water-proof mascara. That's what I use and it makes a huge difference.

I have this same problem frequently. My favourite mascara that I haven't had problems with is from mark. by Avon. You can find mark. by Avon online. However, pretty much every Avon mascara is definitely worth it!
