It depends on what you want to do with your life. If you want to be a teacher then get your master's degree. If you want to be a lawyer then goto law school and study for the bar exam.

Unless you're getting that masters in something like engineering or science, I'd just go to law school instead of getting that masters.

There are also a lot of joint law and master degrees out there. If you really want something, look into doing those programs instead of doing a masters first.

Getting a masters just to get into law school is usually a waste of time. You need to have a better reason for getting a masters than to simply improve your chances of getting into law school. There are too many law schools as it is.

There are ton of unemployed lawyers. We don't need more lawyers, there are too many of them. We need more doctors instead. Why don't you think about becoming a doctor instead. If you don't have enough science back ground, go back to school and get another bachelor's in biology or bio chemistry or related field. Or just take few more science courses at a community college and get a masters degree in biology or related field. If you do good, you can get into med school. You can make ton of more money if you become a doctor too. You get respect as a doctor, unlike a lawyer. People usually associate lawyers with a scumbags.
