Recurrance might be because its not being effectivly treated, or the strain of yeast fungus is resistant to the medications being used, or your partner is a carrier, or you use a douche on a regular basis (which disrupts the vaginal flora and causes ALL sorts of problems), or your medicines are causing it, or..... There are any number of reasons it might come back.
There's also a possibility it isn't a yeast infection at all, but a condition called bacterial vaginosis, which mimics yeast, but is actually a bacterial infection.
I would recommend seeing a doctor.
